In case you didn't know, Anna and I just spent a long weekend frolicking around Seattle together. It was awesome!
When she told me she was buying a ticket to come visit me I basically freaked out. I was so excited to have a friend from home come to visit me so that I could show off all my favorite things about my city. Plus, it meant I got to take a little break from my studies and just hang out with Anna, which, let's be honest, we all want to do sometimes. Haha.
When she first got here, I gave her a little tour of my campus. She was obsessed with all the gardens and the weird but awesome plants we have all around. Then she came to a couple of my classes with me and got a small sense of what my professors and such are like.
We toured around Capitol Hill (the area right above downtown that I live in) and eventually worked our way down to the downtown area and, of course, Pike Place. Anna was so excited by everything. Her camera was whipped out every five seconds and I loved how thrilled she got by little things. She and I are very much the same in that way.
While at Pike's, we made sure to find the sandwich that Audrey had been raving about and I have to say, she was right, it was really good!
After that we rode the ferry and walked around a cute little town called Bainbridge on Bainbridge Island across the Sound. We ate ice cream and sat on a rooftop while talking and drinking coke from glass bottles. It was such a fun way to relax and catch up on everything I don't hear about that happens to all of you in Utah while I am up here.
We also went on the Underground Tour and we both got a little bit of an education about ow the city of Seattle was built. It was pretty cool, and our tour guide was awesome. His delivery of all their assigned jokes was really great and Anna and I both really enjoyed it.
After a lazy Sunday of church and relaxation, I sadly had to say goodbye to Anna and start thinking about my upcoming finals. Now I am freaking out about all I have to do in these next two weeks. It's Okay though, I will be home to see all of your lovely faces in just two weeks! That makes everything seem less daunting.
