a summer bucket list

So.  I have some exciting news.  Yesterday I got a call from Goldman Sachs with an offer for an internship this summer!  I'm so excited/nervous.  But this means a few wonderful things:

  1. I'll be in Salt Lake this summer.
  2. I'm going to (most likely) be making bank.
  3. The combination of these two mean it's going to be an awesome summer filled with fun things.
  4. I need to go shopping.

Anyway, with that being said--and with the fact that this could possibly be my last summer at home--I want to make an awesome summer bucket list and any of you are welcome to join.  (Jane, you have to join in on some of these.)
  • White trash party/demolition derby.
  • Road trip. Possibly to California.  Or Bear Lake works too.  (Or both.)
  • Mona rope swing
  • Bonfires.
  • Movies at the Capitol.
  • An awesome 4th of July party/something to welcome back Lizzy and Kamrin.
  • Picnic.
  • Coyote Gulch (I doubt any of you will join me for this haha).
  • Swimming and barbecues.
  • Concerts.
  • Book club?
Anyway, those are just some of my ideas.  Please add anything fun that you think of and we'll party like it's 1999 2012.

lizzy g

I know I'm two days late and for that I am sorry! But guess what, I still love you.

Hands down the best memory I have with you is at soccer camp senior year.
I honestly don't think I've laughed so hard as I did late that night when we stayed up in our beds talking forever. And like, I've laughed pretty freaking hard since then. Just not THAT hard. That is the caliber of the laughter of that night. If laughter were a gun, that night was a bazooka.
I also loved waking up in the morning and acting like meth-heads as we ate oreos/smeared them all over our mouths and danced. I honestly don't know how we even had time for soccer because we were acting like asshats the whole time.

I wonder if they make girls prettier than this...

You are always so funny and so light-hearted. You always know the right things to say to everyone to make their day. I think we're all pretty lucky to have a friend like you. Happy birthday m'dear!

happy birffday

companion, companion

I really just love you so much. We decided from an early age that we were destined to be companions on a mission. We took over the Indian Hills talent show with our "Castle on a Cloud" rendition (brooms were included). I caught the moment you back flipped off your tramp on my phone (don't know if you remember that). We explored BYU's campus to search for the counselors office only to be rejected because we didn't have an appointment. We experienced our first BYU dance together  and decided to never attend one again (holla out to mah gurl Anna. U waz der 2). I ate my first J Dawg with you (onze agin kean, u waz der). I had an awkward statistics class that you saved me from. You've made my engagement so much fun! Basically, I just treasure every moment I have with you. I can't believe I've known you since I was seven!

Love you baby g. Hope your 21st birthday was the best!
haha I suck in this picture. PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER KID!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot like Wasabi when I bust rhymes

So.  I'm just going to start listing things.  Some will be memories, others will be things I love.  Others might just be random stuff.  Basically, I know that you'll know what I'm talking about because you always do.

  • Late nights.  Sharpies.  You tube.  Facebook . . . cannot even breathe from laughing so hard.
  • Your lawn business and my little apples.
  • Your poem, "Feelings."
  • Rascal Flatts and John Mayer
  • The fact that I can just text you lyrics and you know exactly what I'm saying.
  • Hammock.  Doritos.
  • Llamas.
  • I was jealous that you got the English record in Mr. Sain's class . . . I'll admit it.
  • Writing notes.
  • Eating that Costco chocolate cake without even attempting to cut slices.
  • Sabrina, Blind Date, John Tucker Must Die, 1000 Ways to Die, When Good Pets Go Bad
  • Walks.
  • "I'll meet you at the corner" really means, "see you at my house!"
  • We made up a secret handshake to do at that corner once upon a time . . . can't remember it.
  • Snow shoeing.
  • That one talk on the 3rd level.
  • Oh, okay.
  • I <3 pix/txt warz
  • Chubby Bunny (which we're never playing again because of 1000 ways to die)
  • We're perfectly normal.
  • You taught me how to dry my hair.  And paint my nails.  And do my makeup.
  • St. George, Jackson Hole, LP, Newport, etc.
  • Brinner, caramel popcorn, sludge
  • Steamers, popsicles, ice cream (esp. when you were just starting to date Wyn)
  • running (esp. when we went and got Jamba Juice after running . . . 1 mile)
  • Beyonce and Jay-Z -- RIP
  • summer in general
  • Girl scout camp, Brighton camp
  • Journalism; typing notes to each other in Ruthie's class
  • Our old Noodles & Co. dates when we'd talk about going to BYU
  • Shopping (esp. right before X's bridal shower)
  • Here are your perfectly normal pancakes kids
  • Face paint, Britney Spears, anything else remotely childish that we enjoy.
  • That game we'd play at the Snow's (?) pool where we were floating on rafts and we were in college and if we started to do something bad we'd start falling off and the other person would have to swim over and save them.
  • Cuddling in your bed after rain storms and opening up the window and talking.

Basically, I just love everything about our friendship.  I love everyone thought we were so different when we were starting off as roommates . . . but that didn't even make sense because, well, because.  You know what I mean.  Thank you for always being there for me when I've needed you most.

[And again, I apologize that I haven't done much for you today (I had a lot of ideas in my mind), but this week has been chaotic.  It will happen though--just don't think it's weird if you're getting funny birthday picture messages in the future.]

Anyway, there's a ton more I could say, but I'm just going to stop here and instead clutter our blog with lots of pictures.

Happy Birthday Lizzy!

Well, I think this is about the 7th post on all social media outlets that I have done for you today so sorry if it sounds a little repetitive. Words cannot describe how much I love you. I do not know what I would do without you. I love spending everyday with you and missing you after an hour apart and texting you when we aren't together (sometimes when we are together). I love that you know more about me then anyone else. Thanks for everything you do!

XOXO

my dearest jane

my dearest jane,
I sincerely suck and I ask for your forgiveness. (I don't even have a picture, I'm at work so yeah. But I'll do another post with pictures. Because I have some pretty fun ones)

HAPPY SOOO UNBELIEVABLY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

I seriously love you so much and just think the world of you. I honestly can't think of one person that does not like you. You get along with absolutely everyone and everyone absolutely loves you. I don't think I know someone with THE most hilarious/best sense of humor. Anything you write, any story you tell, I seriously end up with tears from laughing so hard. I really love how you don't pass any sort of judgement. I can not think of a time where I have ever heard you say something harsh about someone else.

I just love you and all your amazingness to death. but seriously. I'm sorry I'm so lame. This is so late it's not even funny. But I kind of feel like a chicken running around with it's head cut off at the moment. I mean this might as well have been a half birthday post. I'll pull it together at some point... hopefully.

LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU!
