M.M.M.

Megen McConkie Morgan!!!

Happy 21st birthday a few days late! I hope you had a glorious wonderful birthday!
I can't really tell you how glad I am that we are friends because I don't think my words would fully be able to do my reasons justice. I love you so much though and I want you to know how amazing you are!
You have the biggest and best smile I have ever seen and you are probably the kindest person I know. You have a huge heart and you let everyone into it with no questions asked.
I am so glad that you found Trent! He truly is your other half because he has a smile almost good enough to match yours and he is also a truly kind person with a very big heart.
I miss you! I know I am horrible at staying in contact throughout the year but I love whenever I do get to catch up with you.
I love you M to the power of 3! You are a wonderful person and I am so thankful to have you in my life! Keep smiling and being the great person you are and hopefully this year will be even better than your last 20 years of life! Love you!!

Megen

Happy birthday Megen dear. I'm going to write a list of things I like about you.
  • You laugh easily
  • You are not judgmental
  • You have a dry wit and good sense of humor
  • You are nice to everyone you ever meet
  • You're loyal
  • I want to look like you. Fun fact: I photoshopped the officer's pictures in our yearbook senior year--you know, whitening teeth, getting rid of dark circles under everyone's eyes, that sort of thing. I didn't have to touch yours. For real.
  • You ride a xooter like a thug.

I have a random model shot of you on my computer. No big deal.

Happy birthday! I hope it's the best ever and that Trent takes you somewhere nice. You are the bomb.

Megs

Happy birthday to one of my favorite people around! I am so glad that we met all those years ago on the tennis court. Even though the first year on the team we didn't talk to each other that much we were still together. But come sophomore year and you couldn't separate us out there! I loved spending those times with you; laughing at Sharon, loving Kathy, our lessons at the U, playing games on friday, dealing with all the drama, and even you passing out once or twice :) But more then any of those things I am happy for the friendship that came out of those times.
I have spent countless hours in the McConkie basement laughing and playing. You come from the best family. I love the car drives I spent with you and especially being there for the beginning of you and Trent. Still so happy that all worked out...you two could not be more perfect for each other.
Meg you are always supportive and willing to listen to anything I have to say. I love that laugh of yours and the giant smile! It makes me happy every time I get to spend a little time with you!

Remember that time we jumped in the fountain at the U

I loved this night

The most beautiful bride

I hope you are having the best 21st birthday girl

Love you!

xoxo

Go shawty, it's yo' birthday.

I'm going to start off with 21 favorite memories (it's going to be hard to narrow this down), in no particular order:
  1. Playing Arthur in your basement
  2. "Topless beaches?" (you have to pretend Chase is saying that)
  3. Concerts: Relient k, Jack Johnson (and Max dragging the cones out the window), and Dashboard Confessional . . . when those guys came up to talk to us.
  4. "Goodnight guys . . . . seriously, goodnight . . . ." (and just all of that trip)
  5. Tennis club.  "World cup??" hahahahah
  6. Cutting oranges down from the tree
  7. You and Kam somersaulting in your basement when the power went out
  8. Staying up well past 2 a.m. the night that you told me you and Trent were getting married
  9. When you worked at Dan's
  10. La Noche de San Juan -- in its entirety (and do not forget about how that man sang to Danielle outside of the kebap shop . . . because I almost did)
  11. Sitting in my car eating chicken nuggets on the dunk day of SBO elections
  12. "When I want your opinion, I'll give it to you" ---and just that entire class
  13. Temple trips (or that weird time we just ran into each other at the temple)
  14. St. George (both times)
  15. All of England.  Tony, our tour guide, sleeping in the airport (on the ground and in the space station), Wicked, Portobello, talking outside of the museums when we were too tired to go in.  All of it.
  16. Walking to Sno Shack (especially that one time you thought that I just wanted to be with you, but you were really getting answered to a dance; or that one time we went with Gretch and she was telling us jokes . . . were those the same day?)
  17. Eating ice cream on your porch with Gochnour.  Served to us by Gretchen.
  18. Your wedding day.
  19. Dancing (honestly, I can't dance with anyone else)
  20. Paul?
  21. Playing truth or dare and I stuck my foot in your toilet.  (Or I felt like we made up this really funny game one time, but I can't remember so we'll just go with that.)
(Obviously I'm missing a number of things . . . but I didn't want that entire list to be Spain.  So just know that all of those are on there too.)

Megen Morgan.  What a gal.  I cannot even begin to express my love for you.  You have been there for me at times when I needed you most, you put up with me when I've been cranky (aka when my suitcase handle broke), and you have always been someone to listen and care.  I love how we can sit and talk about everything we disagree on, but yet never argue or get bothered.  Honestly, it's an amazing sign for how many consecutive hours we've spent together and still have so much to talk about and laugh about.  (Also, a little side note, I'm pretty sure 73.5% of my music is from you.  Also another side note, another favorite memory is when we went to the U game in November, and my feet were dying, and that guy gave me hand-warmers, and you brought all of my favorite candy.  You really are so sweet.  Oh also, remember when you had a crush on Ever?  I do.)

But beyond our friendship, you are an amazing person.  You have the kindest heart out of anyone I know.  Like that time we were walking from the temple and you gave that lady your money.  Or the time Isaac was sitting by himself and you went over to talk to him (and when you invited him to come get churros with us).  You are so friendly and warm, and everyone I know just loves you.  You are a hard worker and a loyal friend.  You are the best.

Sister Morgan, be prepared.

So, like I said, we get a lot of scouts at my work.  In the summer, we had a giant "Cub Scout Day" and we took some pictures.  This little series kills me every  time  I look at it.  So Megs, look forward to trying to explain things to boys like this . . .

I'm Going To Be A Mother!

A den mother that is. I got this new calling last Sunday and at first I wanted to laugh because who in their right mind would trust me with anything that has to do with scouts? Then I wanted to cry. I don't know the first thing about scouting... granted it is just cub scouts. But still. So now I'm going to have to learn how to do everything I suck at (i.e. boy scouting things, i.e. camping/hiking/being outdoorsy). So Anna, can ya help a girl out??

Anna, I still love you.

So I must have missed the memo about writing about Anna... So Anna, please don't take it offensively.
ANNA,
Oh what a girl! Just cutting to the chase, you're the most close to perfect person that I know. We've had so many memories together that I will never forget- from meeting in gym class to traveling to Europe. I can't tell you how lucky I am that I met you! Here are the reasons why I love you:

So this is kind of embarrassing....

So... awkward. Maybe you haven't noticed, but I've kind of been a slacker when it comes to this whole blog shin-dig thing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the idea and I've been reading all about you all. So now that I've finally figure out how to post (after about a month of trying and a few phone calls to anna...) here it is:

MARRIED LIFE. It's great. It's fabulous. It's like living with your best friend, except he's a boy and we can't share clothes. So what are the best things about being married, you ask? I'll tell ya
1. Having Modern Family Marathons.
2. Making dinner together (which usually consists of quesadillas, french toast, or waffles).
3. Having a permanent doubles partner.
4. Listening to Trent sing Newsies, the "Tonight, Tonight" song (there's a party on the rooftop top of the world-  you know the one), or just highpitched notes that sounds like Bollywood music.
5. Trent falling asleep in the first five minutes of every movie we watch.
6. Waking up to watch soccer at 5:30 on Sunday mornings.
7. Helping him choose outfits to wear (he goes through about 5 outfits before finding one that actually matches- how did he ever make it without me??)
8. Trent taking me to get ice cream whenever I want.
There are about a million more things I could say, but this'll have to do. So pretty much being married is the greatest, especially when I have such a great husband. He makes me more happy than anything else. What a guy! I can't wait for you all to get to know him better. So I can't figure out how to get the pictures off my camera, so this one will have to do.
